Last week I went into Crate & Barrel and of course, they had the coolest kid’s section directly in front of the register. They had a solar system sidewalk chalk kit that looked just like real planets. I was so impressed while also realizing that the majority of the items were Easter basket ideas for kids. Now that Thea is almost 2 years old, she can appreciate the idea of hunting for eggs and opening a basket. However, I have yet to buy anything for Thea’s first real Easter basket this year.
I immediately went home to look up Easter basket ideas for toddlers.
With our generation focusing on the Montessori way of learning, I wanted to find items that were both functional and useful in her development. I found so many cute items that I wanted to share with anyone else who might be looking for Easter basket ideas for toddlers.

These items were very specific to the everyday things that Thea is learning and interested in currently. She is eating dinners and food that we eat, so I thought new bowls and plates would be fitting. She LOVES to be outdoors and I have recently started focusing on cleaning up our gardens, so I looked for her own set of tools. We have the beeswax crayons and the wooden eggs, she loves both and plays with them all the time. I thought the bunnies would be fitting and love Jellycats (the brand of animals). They are so soft and plush. Lastly, you can't go wrong with playdough. I've had my eye on this non-toxic set I found on Amazon.

Easter Baskets Under $20
They have very cheap baskets at Target, but we bought one of those last year. This year, I wanted to get a woven basket. Possibly even one that she could use with multi-purposes. I picked out baskets that I could find under $20 and I've linked them below if you are looking for a natural basket with a little bit more character! I've also linked Easter baskets at the bottom of the post that are over $20 that are cute and multi-functional.

Easter Books Under $10
We are very into books and having reading time during this stage. I thought it would be fitting and inexpensive to include some of our favorite books in addition to Easter-related books that I found. There are a few classics in the mix such as The Bunny Book and Peter Rabbit. My favorite in the entire mix is Eggs Are Everywhere. I bought it for Thea last year. I think I am more obsessed with it than she is.

How cute are these Easter girl outfits! I really wanted to link ideas for those with boys too, but this post was getting so long I opted to just include the items that I had already found for Thea. I am buying her the sleeveless swing dress and picked up the bow sandals in-store at H&M. I included the rain boots even though they don't scream Easter Sunday outfit because they could if it's raining! I always look for items that are functional and cute.
